Who we are
Choosing a private AI partner is a decision about trust as much as technology. TonsleyAI is the sovereign AI platform of Moots Technology, an Australian company with an engineering arm in Germany. This page sets out the structure behind it, the people who will own your engagement, and precisely how your data is handled while we work.
The names, untangled
Several names appear across this site and our parent company's. Here is the whole structure in one place, so you know exactly who you are dealing with and who is accountable for what.
TonsleyAI is the private AI platform and our AI arm of Moots Technology Pty Ltd, an Australian company headquartered in the Tonsley Innovation District, South Australia, and serving clients nationally. Moots Technology is the entity you contract with, your data stays under Australian jurisdiction, and our leadership brings more than two decades in enterprise software and workflow automation across government, healthcare, manufacturing and financial services.
run-e is our sister company in Dortmund, Germany, established in 2001. It does the deep engineering and product work, which is where the “German-engineered” line in our footer comes from - a description of where the code is written, not a flourish. run-e also builds its own products on TonsleyAI, including an AI Fieldwork Manager for regulated market research.
We are deliberately structured so that the people who scope your work are still accountable for it when it ships - no handover to an account manager, no rotating delivery team. Capacity scales through our engineering arm and contracted specialists; accountability does not move.
Who owns your engagement
Two named people are accountable for your engagement from first call to production, and they do not hand you over to an account manager once the contract is signed. Behind them sit the platform engineering team in Germany, and specialist delivery capacity we engage under contract when a programme needs it - so a build is never limited by who happens to be free this week.
Managing Director
Accountable for the commercial relationship and for translating what you are trying to achieve into what gets engineered. Enterprise software leadership across Germany and Australia, working with clients on data security, compliance and operational efficiency. If you book a call, this is who you meet.
Lead AI Engineer
Accountable for technical design and architecture, from scalable cloud-native applications through to deploying private AI models inside a customer's own environment. Directs the engineering effort on your build and is the technical counterpart to your own IT people.
The question behind the question
We do not hold certifications and we are not going to imply we do. What we can do is state plainly how an engagement works, so you can judge it against your own obligations rather than against a logo.
Inside your environment - your cloud tenant or your own hardware. We do not stand up a copy of your data on our infrastructure in order to build something, and a Proof-of-Value is no exception. That is the point of the product; it would be odd to make an exception for ourselves.
Enough to build the thing and no more. Usually that means sample documents you have chosen, the structure of a system rather than its contents, and time with the people who do the work. Where we need access to real data, it is access you grant, inside your environment, and you can revoke it.
Nothing of yours, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing and you know exactly what and why. Our own notes and designs, yes. Your documents, your records and your operational data stay where they started.
Named individuals on your engagement, agreed with you in advance, rather than an open pool. Where a programme requires additional specialist capacity, those engineers are engaged under contract to Moots Technology and carry the same confidentiality obligations we do. You are told who is involved before it happens, and you may decline.
The deployment is inside your environment, so it does not switch off when the relationship does. You keep the models, the data and the workflows. There is no version of this where walking away from us costs you the system.
If your own policies require something more specific than this, ask on the call. A straight answer costs us nothing and saves you finding out later.
